When I was in high school, I was given an experimental diet of an extremely high carbohydrate diet. However, eating the vegan diet for six months completely eliminated everything else that I wasn't comfortable with, such as alcohol. I also experienced weight loss. The diet left me with more than I needed. I also began to lose body fat.

When I looked at the foods in your food, the number of calories you added to your original carbohydrate diet became insignificant or nonexistent. My body would eat the carbohydrate until my bloodstream grew cold. This process made its way from a diet of rice and potatoes to a diet of bread, pasta, eggs, dairy and cheese in a handful or tiny pieces of flour that I prepared to cut into small cubes. It worked as a fat rich diet, but at the same time was actually a healthy diet.

I was really excited to discover and learn so many things about what these carbs could do for us. This was when I experienced several challenges in my quest to understand what the ketogenic diet would do for me. During my initial reading of the book, I realized the potential of a food that could become the basis for a balanced, high-fat diet.

The foods in the book were all very simple to digest. They were low in calories. The carbs that came in were just as simple as cooking. However, the nutrients in the foods were more complex and were more complicated.
